I have recently been quite into police dramas. I don't know why but they bring me a great deal of satisfaction. I have yet been able to catch an episode of any of the million CSIs because my television schedule knowledge is pretty abysmal. But, mark my words, I will one of these days!
When I haven't been stuck in front of the tv like a zombie, I've been to quite a few places. Birmingham, Brighton and Southampton. As well as my usual round of cinema trips and other things which are too silly for me to talk about or possibly even remember. But:
I went to
Michael Nyman's debut at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Proms. It was delightful. I had to stop myself from gasping and clapping every single moment and, despite having quite a busy day, I did not fall asleep like I usually do!
The Yolks are a band from Paris. They started their Brixton Windmill set outside the venue and made their way up armed with one tambourine and sweet melodies. After accosting a table of unsuspecting lads (they were rowdy like lads are) they got on stage and preceded to make me smile for a long while.
Some of that was because the keyboardist, keyboarder, keyboardman looked like what I imagine a stick-on moustache embracing Natasha Khan would look like.
All of my recent outings have been without my camera so, unfortunately, I cannot dazzle you with my lady of leisure lifestyle. I'm sure you'd want to see a picture of me almost peeing myself whilst trying to scale a fence with the help of three men. I did do it, though.
